The XII ELAVIO will be held from
February 5th to 9th of 2006 in Petropolis, a nice town located one hour from
Rio de Janeiro.
The ELAVIO targets young scholars interested in the field of Operations
Research (OR). The main purpose of the school is to present students (Doctoral,
Master and exceptionally, advanced undergraduates) to short-courses,
tutorials, discussion panels, and lectures on advanced topics in OR given by
senior researchers and scholars. The workshop also gives the opportunity to
a selected group of students to show their research results in special
tracks.
An important goal of the ELAVIO is to promote scientific exchange and
networking opportunities between senior and young scholars.
Topics of interest include combinatorial optimization, multiobjective linear
programming, metaheuristics, and integer programming.
The official languages are: Spanish and Portuguese.
