Prof. Dr.-Ing. Raphael Guerra is currently a Tenured Associate Professor at the Institute of Computing at Universidade Federal Fluminense, Niterói/RJ, Brazil. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil, and a Doctorate Degree with Honors (Summa Cum Laude) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Technische Universität Kaiserlautern, Germany.

His topics of interest include resource management, real-time scheduling, and distributed embedded systems for IoT and unmanned vehicles. Teaching focuses mainly on computer architecture, operating systems, structured and object-oriented programming, networked and distributed systems, embedded programming and IoT infrastructure.
